In 2020, young adult fans flocked to The Wilds for its realistic depictions of the lives of teenage girls. Building super fan communities on Reddit, Instagram, and Twitter to discuss Season 1, write fan fiction, and prep for Season 2. It was our job to leverage the energy of this hyper connected online community to build buzz around the release of season two.
Join the Dawn of Eve
Using the theme of research assistants, and a phone number from the Season 1 finale. We recruited fans into a social experiment based on the plot line of the show.
Paging Dr. Gretchen
Written with input from the shows executive producers. Our phone number gave fans a chance to chat directly with the series arch villain. Dr. Gretchen. With a mixture of canned and custom responses, we kept fans on their toes through the duration of season two. And the end, exclusive content only available to this group, made it all worth it.
